Checking in…

I’ve been busy, oh so busy working on MANY fabulous projects!

WIP’s

1) I have been working on a cowl pattern called, Gris de lin, by Cailliau Berangere, on Ravelry. It’s a free pattern and one I highly recommend. It’s knit in the round on circulars and uses fingering weight yarn. The pattern repeat is easy, though a bit of concentration on the odd rounds is required. I will be taking this along on my trip to Chicago (today). Stitches Midwest. (picture is of the designers FO)

2) I am also working on a pair of socks for a friend of mine, Kelly, who provided the Malabrigo Sock yarn for them. She was so kind in making me a project bag, it’s the least I can do for her. (even though she provided the yarn for the project). Bag is so cute and wider than my other one. This pattern is knit in the round on DPN’s. A fast knit, though the elegant pattern slows you down a bit when you get to it. Otherwise, a fun knit.

These too, are in my suitcase to bring along to Stitches Midwest today. The reason they aren’t in my carry on is because my needles of choice are Signatures. Yea…’nuf said, huh? They will not, for any reason, take those from me.

The sock pattern I’m making for Kelly is, the November Sock pattern, by Birgitte Strikker, on Ravelry as well. Once again a free on Ravelry.

Book I’m currently reading

The Lost Recipe for Happiness, by Barbara O’Neal

~This book is fun to read, engages me 100%, and leaves me feeling full. I lose myself in this book everytime I pick it up. Her characters are believable and realistic, and the main character, Elena, is a chef looking for happiness. And the recipes thrown in, well…just plain fabulous!

The Lost Recipe for Happiness

Hop over to Amazon and take a peak. Or better yet, grab a copy for yourself. Of course, this has been carefully placed in my carry-on bag as well, for the trip to Chicago.

However, the best news yet, is that I’ve completed my second book, and is now in the hands of my publisher. Stay tuned for further updates as to when this book will be released and where you can find it.

So, as I always say,

Knit On! (and on)
