Well, if you’re following this blog, you know what NaNoWriMo is. If not, it’s National Novel Writing Month. A month that allows us the priveledge of being an author. A month where life isn’t allowed to get in the way. 50,000 words is the goal along with a completed novel. My conflict? What is Shelby to do?
Shelby is the main topic today, and my main character. Shelby is a bit eclectic, but adorable. Her personality is like no other (except maybe me).
Shelby will be the detective, so to speak, in this story. She will uncover the person or thing that killed her mom. Shelby will be her funny self through all this, but once again fearful of losing those family ties.
I’ve written 2,728 words and moving forward to the ultimate goal of 50,000. I believe it won’t stop there though. Shelby will have lots more to say in the time it takes me to reach my personal goal of 68,000 words.
So, come along on the great adventure. I’ve opened with Shelby in Las Vegas. A place of where she can be her over confident self. The phone rings, it’s the nurse. Mom’s been killed in her room at the nursing home. Shelby must rush home to solve the murder. It will be done with a bit of humor, but again have the serious side of Shelby’s personality.
Did I give you enough to follow along with me?
As I always say,
